Abstract A directional coupler based on a microstrip branch line for 5G millimeter wave communication is designed. The structure simple and easy to implement. comprehensive decomposition design method of the microwave system proposed improve efficiency. Based theoretical analysis microwaves, combining automatic tuning manual optimization used optimize schematic simulation. layout simulation adopts iterative approximate index reduce influence connection loss. Finally, designed with bandwidth 24.25ghz 27.5ghz, coupling degree insertion loss about 5dB, an isolation more than 20dB. In coming 6G, this has certain forward-looking significance.
